This simple step-by-step guide walks you through the procedure for getting a spotless and crystal-clear shine without any streaks.

Step 1: Gathering the Supplies

It is essential to gather all the supplies needed beforehand. This ensures that all the supplies are handy and in enough quantities. List includes:

• A microfiber cloth/sponge

• A bucket

Step 2: Arranging Cleaning Solution

Homemade solutions are a better choice because they are non-toxic. An easy, homemade cleaning solution can be prepared by mixing 50% distilled water with 50% white vinegar. Add dishwashing soap to this mix if dealing with stubborn stains. Ensure to use distilled water and not tap water to make this solution. This is because tap water has hard water and leaves behind uninvited streaks.

Step 3: Dust to Prepare the Window

Next, prepare the area around the window by dusting the frames, handles and sills. This ensures that these areas do not transfer the dirt onto the glass later. A microfibre cloth is the secret here. Having a separate microfibre cleaning cloth is not mandatory at all. If this cloth is not available, a soft brush would be a better tool for removing cobwebs and dusting off the loose dirt. It is imperative to wipe off the window sills for any debris; otherwise, all the efforts might go down the drain. Cleaning window frames right in the beginning gives a mess-free cleaning experience. This is because it prevents the dirty water from dripping into the nearby spaces. In this scenario, dirty water can drip either from frame corners or from the cleaning cloth.

Step 4: Wash the Frame and the Sill
